Suzuki Konzeptbike Biplane + Crosscage
Auf der Tokyo Motor Show hat Suzuki seine Konzeptbikes “Biplane” und “Crosscage” vorgestellt. Wenn man sich die Motorräder so anschaut, mag man kaum glauben sowas demnächst ganz normal auf der Straße zu sehen.
Angetrieben wird die Biplane von einem V4 der in ein radikales Äußeres verpackt wurde. Bremsen, Fahrwerk, Verkleidung…alles wirkt wie aus einem Science Fiction Film. Dem Hightech gerecht wird die kompakte Brennstoffzelle als zweite Energiequelle.

This concept model “The Biplane” communicates the joy of two-wheel mobility through a design that was uniquely inspired by the feeling of flying or piloting an aeroplane, which gives motorcyclists a similarity feeling while riding bikes. Despite being a modern machine, it gives a great feeling of openness-thanks to a shape that has a biplane - no canopy - motif, which was always giving softer, human-friendly and warm feeling to us. It’s powered by a V4 engine.
Konzeptbike Nummer 2 ist die “Crosscage”. Das Herausragende an dieser Idee ist zum einen die Kraft und Reichweite (eine Brennstoffzelle kann sehr kräftig ans Werk gehen bzw. der Tank für eine grosse Reichweite sorgen), zum anderen die Emissionen (also die Abgase) - es entsteht lediglich Wasserdampf und etwas Stickstoffmonoxid. Klingt alles wunderbar, nur ist der technische Aufwand hoch. Das Sicherheitsrisiko darf auch nicht außer Acht gelassen werden. Außerdem ist momentan die Herstellung von Wasserstoff noch nicht wirklich rentabel, als Gegenspieler zum normalen Benzin.
